Post-Bachelor's Certificates

Our post-bachelor's certificate programs allow individuals with a degree in a health-related field to build knowledge and skills in as few as two semesters.

Offered by the College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy, the online Caring for the Underserved Certificate provides students currently enrolled in PharmD and advanced-practice nursing degree programs the opportunity to focus their required coursework, professional development and real-world learning experiences on acquiring the evidence-based skills needed to expertly care for underserved populations and advance health care equality.

Offered in partnership with the UC Lindner College of Business, the Nurse-Led Innovation Certificate equips nurses with the skills to develop and implement solutions that improve patient care, streamline healthcare processes and drive systemic change.

For nurses who teach or plan to teach, the online Nursing Education Certificate program provides instruction on student assessment and evaluation, curriculum design and development and student support and engagement strategies.

The online Public Health Nursing Certificate program prepares professionals to apply knowledge, skills and abilities to respond to public health emergencies using evidence from research to design, implement and evaluate population-based interventions and to lead efforts to advance public health initiatives at the local, state, tribal, federal and global level.

Tuition & Fees

Students in this program are not eligible for financial aid, but master's and doctoral students who complete the Nurse Educator Certificate as part of their graduate degree are eligible for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program. After graduation, up to 85 percent of the loan and principal interest is canceled for individuals who work as full-time nursing faculty at a school of nursing.
